November 27: View from the Pier

November 26: Bell Street Pier

November 25: Opportunists

There are probably over a dozen varieties of moss all co-existing on this curb. If we have another cold spring in 2012 we'll probably all be covered over in moss.

November 18: Wood Cricket

People at PATH travel far and wide, and bring home some amazing things. This cricket made of wood shavings is tiny and exquisite.

November 17: Frieze

November 16: Friends/Enemies

The unlit part of the sign reads "Pakistani"....evidently the longstanding feud between the countries continues, with India the winner of this round.

November 3: Edges

October 31: Too Much Loot

The merchants on Ballard Avenue sponsor an early evening trick-or-treat event every year that's hugely popular. This little pumpkin had so much candy the bag had became too heavy to lift.

October 30: Pumpkin Carving for Global Health

The entries in PATH's annual pumpkin carving contest almost always involves public health themes. This years' entry included one on influenza vaccine that featured this mini-pumpkin suffering from the flu, surrounded by balled up mini-tissues and a tiny bowl of chicken soup.
